Kamp-Promenade
Kamp-Promenade / Osnabrück / Germany
Kamp-Promenade is a multipurpose retail centre that directly adjoins the pedestrian zone of Osnabrück. Shops are spread over several buildings of striking architectural design, which are arranged around a central square. It offers 13,000 m² of retail space, 3,200 m² of office space and an underground garage with 250 parking spaces. Kamp-Promenade, with its open-plan structure, creates a multifunctional space with a variety of different experiences in the heart of the city centre and fits neatly into the small patchwork of streets and attractive squares so typical for the city of Osnabrück.
Most of the busiest retail attractions are located on the outer edge of Osnabrück city centre. Kamp-Promenade, which opened on 16th September 2004, gave retailers their first opportunity to establish larger sales areas in the middle of the pedestrian precinct and benefit from the central city location. The mix of shops, alongside anchor tenant Saturn, includes other famous names, most of whom were new to Osnabrück and which perfectly complement the existing range of retailers.
The new retail centre’s mixture of shops and its charming and exciting design have made Kamp-Promenade a new stimulating source for the revitalization of the surrounding streets and existing arcades of Osnabrück’s pedestrian precinct. Kamp-Promenade has brought new quality to these commercial locations in the city centre and underlines Osnabrück’s attractiveness as the region’s prime shopping location.
After winning the ICSC Award for “Best European Shopping Centre” in April 2005, Kamp Promenade also won the ICSC International Full Design Award in December 2005.
Kamp-Promenade opened its doors in September 2004.
