Sustainability
Sustainability is, and has always been, a vital part of Multi’s DNA. Since the early 1990’s Multi has led with positive and innovative practices for the environment, sustainability and corporate social responsibility - through its projects.

We create areas where people want to visit and live, that offer people what they need and which add a collective value to their, and the, environment.

We recognize that areas created by people always have a social, economic and ecological impact; sustainability is an intrinsic and mitigating way that Multi operates.

Multi has committed, over the coming years, to further reduce its direct and indirect CO2-emissions, to increase use of renewable energy, optimise use of materials, stimulate the use of public transport, along with; further reducing waste, reduction or re-use of water, and preserving or improving biodiversity.

This applies not only to our development activities, but also to our own organisation.

The commonly held understanding, throughout Multi, to always maximise sustainability standards, became documented policy in 2007.

Multi’s formal Sustainability Policy with ambitious strategies, measures and instruments for formal implementation, improvement and reporting was presented to the ICSC congress in April 2008.

The projects in our pipeline are in line with this Policy.
Multi’s 5 E’s (Principles of sustainability)

Multi Corporation has led the way in sustainable real estate development, investment and management for more then 16 years. We are committed to maintaining this leadership position as an acknowledgement of our responsibility to ourselves, our neighbours and to all present and future generations of planet earth.

Our guiding principles and core values are mandated in the 5 E’s for a sustainable future:

Everlasting Design:

Coherent public space should be connected with the structure of the city and the culture of its inhabitants. Multi creates concepts and designs that are both flexible and timeless, touching the magic of the location.

Ecological Footprint:

Multi optimises the use of land and reduces the consumption of resources. By constructing new buildings more effectively and managing existing buildings more efficiently we can maintain a sustainable world.

Equal Benefits:

Multi is committed to giving back to the community and to enrich people’s lives. This creates the foundation for the mutual trust that is required to generate momentum for joining forces to build a socially sustainable future.

Economic Viability:

Multi is dedicated to creating healthy business environments and to ensure that investments pay dividends now and in the future. This is key to safeguarding the financial viability of sustainability.

Education for All:

Raising public awareness of the changes required is necessary to preserve our planet. Multi will appeal to each member of society to respond to this message which is vital for securing a sustainable future.
